Silver Birch Ranch still looking for a Head Lifeguard for the summer

Prayer and action list for SBR for this summer...

If you know a lifeguard who wants to minister this summer and is capable of being a head life guard we have both the opening and the need.

We are also recruiting students for the Nicolet Bible Institute for the fall of 07. Have your friends who are potential students check out out web site - they can get to it through the silverbirchranch.org web site.

Also looking for ten men to join me at the end of the summer for a wonderful week in Canada...

Pray that God would supply the finances for the new canteen as well as allowing us to finish it by the time we need it this summer.

Also keep praying for Mike Matousek as he has a serious heart condition.

I hope you partner with us..a chord of three is not easily broken!

Upright Living

Job 1:6-8(NLT)
⁶One day the members of the heavenly court came to present themselves before the Lord, and the Accuser, Satan, came with them.
⁷“Where have you come from?” the Lord asked Satan. Satan answered the Lord, “I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that’s going on.”
⁸Then the Lord asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.”

Job was an example not because of his talent, his money, his family, his position or his communication skills. He was the finest man in all the earth because he was blameless, a man of complete integrity- one who feared God and stayed away from evil.

How are you doing on being blameless? On fearing God? On staying away from evil?

Anyone can do these things if they so desire. This is the criterion God used to judge when he spoke of Job.

What do I understand?

Galatians 1:6 (NLT)
⁶I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News
It is most difficult for man understand that which cannot be understood. It is most difficult for man to believe the unbelievable. It is difficult for man to comprehend the uncomprehendable.

A religion based on human understanding, believability, and comprehendability is just that, a religion and an empty one at that.

The first step to apostasy is placing the Gospel and God Himself into the plane of human understanding.

Of all man’s sins, this may be the most dangerous for it leads to many opportunities for the evil one to snare us and render us irrelevant to the King.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
